Crew on December 31, 1944
42-31348 was hit by German fighters and was seen spinning. It broke up after flames
were seen from the left wing. One chute was seen coming from the tail section. Aircraft
was last seen at @ 12:15 hours. It crashed near Rhade, Germany. Casad and Napier were
killed in the air. According to one of the gunners, while being interrogated back in the
USA, Ferguson was hanged by German civilians.
Additional Notes:  The plane's original pilot, Duncan M. Sanderson,
named this plane in honor of his wife, whose maiden name was
Theresa “Terry” A. Long.
