After dropping their bombs over the target, 42-32083 was hit by flak. The
plane dropped out of the formation, with the #4 engine feathered. Fuel
was streaming over the wing. The plane kept losing altitude and finally
crashed in Liszki, Poland, @ 15 miles from Berlin. All crew members
survived and eventually returned to England. There is no information as
to whether they bailed out or landed with the aircraft.
