The aircraft was shot down by German fighters and crashed near
Linnau, Germany 14km SW of Flensburg, Germany. Sgt Kramer was
killed in the air by 20mm shells in the chest.  Lt Novelli, Sgt Saleda,
and Sgt Kramer were buried in the Friedenshugel Cemetery at
Eggebeck. Saleda was not identified at that time. He and Kramer
were reinterred in the American Cemetery in the Ardennes. Lt
Novelli was reinterred in Arlington National Cemetery.
