This plane is that it took part on a bombing mission, Oct 6, 1944, to the
Aero engine plant operated by BMW. The plane received flak damage
which apparently killed one of the waist gunners, SSGT Lee R Kennedy,
who was buried in Cambridge, England. The plane returned safely with
damage to Deopham Green.

Special thanks to Glenn Gay, son of 1LT Hubert Gay, for
providing the crew list above. Glenn was also kind enough
to provide the three pictures below, which he received
from Stanley Lantz, who was the regular waist gunner on Lt
Gay's crew when he piloted My Assis-Dragon. Gay flew the
plane on 11 missions. On December 31, 1944, the plane
took part in Mission #183 to bomb the German oil refinery
in Hamburg. Flak was heavy and the group was attacked by
15-20 FW-190's. My-Assis-Dragon suffered damage, but Lt
Gay managed to get the plane and crew home safely. What
a way to spend New Year's Eve! Stan Lantz was rotated out
prior to this mission. Thank you very much for the pictures
