43-38702 VAMPIRE VERTIGO

NO MACR

RETURNED TO THE USA.

The crew named their plane "Vampire Vertigo" but never painted the
name on the plane. They arrived at Deopham Green on December 20, 1944
and flew their first mission on January 28, 1945. Target was
Hohenbudberg. They flew several more combat missions and also took
part in the food drops to Holland. They all survived the war and eventually
flew 43-38702 back to the USA safe and sound.

Many thanks to Rick Pfeiffer, son-in-law of Sig Urban, for supplying all the
pictures and information about the plane and crew. He got some of the
information from Harry Dickenson and Tony Milano.
